I've been at Corpus Christi School since the 2nd Trimester of the 2016-2017 school year. I first joined as a Substitute Teacher in TK. The following year I worked in 3rd Grade where I was the Assistant Teacher and was responsible for 3rd Grade Science. That year I also taught 2nd Grade Math. For the 2018-2019 school year I took over as the 2nd Grade lead teacher. This is my third year as the 2nd Grade lead teacher at Corpus Christi and my 13th year of teaching.
A Southern California native and product of Catholic Schools, I attended St. Joseph the Worker Elementary School and Louisville High School. I earned my B.A. in Liberal Studies and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Pepperdine University and began my teaching career as a 2nd Grade Teacher. After teaching for 4 years and earning my M.A. in Literacy Education from Loyola Marymount University, I moved to London, England. It was my home for 5 brilliant years. I continued to teach and I traveled every chance I could. I also met my husband and had a son. We moved to L.A. in the spring of 2015 and I had the amazing experience of being a stay-at-home mom before joining Corpus Christi.
Aside from school, some of my favorite things are: family, friends, food, travel, spending days at the beach and yoga.
As an educator I strive to do all I can to ensure that the children I work with not just learn and grow in an engaging and fun manner, but also feel cared for and safe in an environment that promotes kindness, respect and curiosity.
I am so excited for another year at Corpus Christi!
